Kudu.

While in Kruger, we did get to view quite a few real kudu-- but the one I was admiring the most was this well designed one on our National Park dishes.

Hi Zander:

Welcome back!

I can't wait to read more about your travels and culinary adventures. SA food is another wonderful example of a multi-culti cuisine blending various native dishes with Dutch, British, Portuguese and Indian food.

I used to love the breakfasts of Boerewors and pap (yes, I confess to liking pap - especially with hot sauce - sort of like grits in the US) or a dinner of boubuti.

If you come across some really good recipes - please post them as well. A lot of SA products are now available in the US as well - I've seen biltong of many flavors and droewors, boerewors, and curried meat pasties etc.

Happy travels!
